As a result of rapid acceleration in energy costs, Saskatchewan Minerals Inc. is forced to implement an energy surcharge on all shipments of sodium sulphate. We have absorbed these increases over the past several months however; insufficient margins no longer allow for us to continue to absorb the high natural gas cost. We apologize for having to take such drastic measures and are hopeful that these measures will only be temporary and energy costs will reduce to more favorable levels.
Saskatchewan Minerals Inc. reserves the right to increase/decrease the "Natural Gas Surcharge" on a quarterly basis based upon the AECO monthly index average for the previous quarter.
